Smack Talk

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

John 13:14-17

How many times have you seen this?  Some who talks big before the fight, but when it comes time to back it up, they fail miserably.  It is easy to talk a big game, but when it comes to actually stepping inside the cage and backing it up… well, that is another story.

When Jesus stepped out of heaven and into the cage of life to defeat Satan at the cross, he not only backed up what was written about him in the Scriptures, he made it possible for us to do the same.  Mark it down, “…the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” (1 Corinthians 4:20). Many religions can talk smack… The question is, can they back it up?

Remember, it is called a fight for a reason.  However, we fight from victory, not for victory.  Keep Fighting!
